Why should you study saxophone with me? Because I can help you study and reach your goals as a sax player in an organized and fun way. I concentrate on a curriculum that helps you achieve the best saxophone tone and sound development. When it comes to sax lessons in Denver, I am your best fiscal and educational choice. Check this out!

Hands down, studying with me is Denver’s best value in saxophone lessons. I combine many years of professional saxophone playing in various styles, pedagogical techniques that work, and an intense interest in you or your child’s learning style that makes learning the sax an enjoyable and fruitful experience…at all a very economical price that you can afford!

Since having first touched the saxophone in 1978, I have played all styles of music and all of the saxophone voicings (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone). Styles I have played include rhythm & blues, classical (from Bach to 20th century), jazz (trad, big band, bebop, cool, hard bop, free, contemporary), soka/zuke, and Latin styles (including salsa and merengue…and even NorteƱo!). No matter what saxophone you play, I specialize in it! Tenor, Soprano, or Alto Saxophone “learning” for “beginners” or more advanced students.

My lesson rates are as follow:

* $20.00 per half hour lesson
* $25.00 per 45-minute lesson
* $30.00 per one-hour lesson

My students pay for the entire month at the first lesson of the month. I have a flexible 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy too. I teach from my home in Southwest Denver.

Aria for Piano and Saxophone, Bozza

Suite No 1 for Violincello-Allemande (Bach)

Here is Lesson 1 from my online lessons series. I am developing an online studio that will be interactive for all of my current students and available by subscription for all others. I am excited to be able to offer some virtual instruction to Colorado and beyond. Contact me for more information.
Lesson 1-Put Your Horn Together

In Lesson 2, Creating the Basket, I address how to hold the saxophone as well as making your first sounds. We get into finger placement and creating embouchure, or proper mouth placement on the mouthpiece.

I get results, and with the added value of the online resources you will know it is money well spent. And all of my students have access to password protected lessons and downloadable materials. Fantastic, isn’t it?
